DevOps Engineer

The opportunity

Cyera is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join its fast-growing data security startup.

In this role, you will design, build, and optimize the infrastructure and automation that power the platform. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to ensure environments are secure, scalable, resilient, and highly automated.

This is a high-impact position where you’ll help establish DevOps best practices, shape cloud-native architecture, and influence key technical decisions as the company scales.

Infrastructure & Automation

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, or Azure with a focus on security, high availability, and scalability.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines across development, staging, and production environments.

CI/CD & Release Engineering

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Implement automated testing, security scanning, and deployment workflows.
• Improve release velocity while ensuring reliability and compliance.

Security & Compliance

• Embed security into infrastructure and deployment practices through DevSecOps.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for security events and system performance.
• Collaborate with security teams to meet compliance requirements such as SOC2 and ISO 27001.

Reliability & Observability

• Own uptime, performance, and scalability of production services.
• Implement observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar tools.
• Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term system improvements.

Collaboration & Culture

• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams.
• Evangelize DevOps best practices and contribute to a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and runbooks for internal teams.

Required qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code; Terraform preferred.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and Linux systems.
• Strong scripting abilities using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
