Four days (80%) per week of in-office presence are required.

Role overview

We’re looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to take ownership of our Kubernetes-based multi-cluster internal developer platform that powers mission-critical microservices across the organization.

This role is equal parts technical leadership, hands-on engineering, product thinking, and communication. You will shape the direction of the platform as a product, obsess over developer experience, and ensure the platform is intuitive, reliable, and well-documented.

You will work closely with product teams, architects, and engineering managers to evolve the platform into a highly automated, self-service ecosystem that accelerates developer productivity and enables secure, seamless deployments at scale.

The technical stack includes Azure Kubernetes Service, Envoy Gateway, Opentelemetry Operator, LGTM Stack, Crossplane, KEDA, Cert Manager, External DNS, Kyverno, External Secrets Operator, Argo CD, Helm, Bicep, and Github Actions.

Please note: as culture and teamwork are important, four days per week of in-office presence are required. This is a full-time position with placement in Stockholm.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction of the Kubernetes platform with a strong focus on developer experience and operational excellence.
  • Treat the platform as a product by gathering feedback, identifying friction, and continuously improving workflows and interfaces.
  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native infrastructure with an everything-as-code mindset.
  • Write production-quality code using Bash, YAML, Bicep, and Github Actions.
  • Drive complex features and refactoring across provisioning, deployments, observability, and cluster lifecycle management.
  • Partner closely with product teams to understand real workflows and deliver a frictionless self-service experience.
  • Mentor engineers through collaboration and example, fostering curiosity, ownership, and learning.
  • Raise the bar on maintainability and engineering craftsmanship through strong attention to detail.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, or application engineering roles.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes, containers, and the cloud-native ecosystem.
  • Builder mindset with regular code writing and shipping.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Experience operating in public cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP with modern IaC and GitOps tooling.
  • Proven track record improving developer workflows, self-service capabilities, or internal platforms.
  • Understanding of networking, including TLS, DNS, HTTP, GRPC, and proxies.
  • Experience with modern observability practices and tooling, including instrumentation, metrics, logs, tracing, and profiling.
  • Pragmatic, collaborative, and humble approach to technical leadership.
  • High attention to detail and a bias for architectural simplicity and clarity.

Benefits

  • Significant influence over the direction of the platform and how platform engineering works across the company.
  • Work on a platform at the center of the organization’s transition to microservices.
  • Modern, cloud-native stack with investment in staying current with the cloud-native ecosystem.
  • Space for curiosity, experimentation, thoughtful innovation, and turning ideas into reality.
  • Supportive, low-ego culture with collaborative teammates.
  • Value-driven culture, large tech network, and community where you can be yourself.
  • Staff discount card.
  • Flexible work life.
  • Learning communities.
  • Wellness benefits.
  • Parental benefits.
  • Opportunities to experiment, grow, make an impact, and shape the future.
