DevSecOps Engineer
Reporting to the Director – DevSecOps & SRE, the DevSecOps Engineer will design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure. The role helps shape DevSecOps practices, automate CI/CD pipelines, and embed security and quality gates across the software delivery lifecycle in a cloud-native, multi-cloud environment.

Responsibilities
DevSecOps & CI/CD
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines.
- Define and evolve Build & Release best practices with traceability and auditability.
- Implement automated build, test, release, and deployment pipelines.
- Integrate SAST, DAST, IAST, and OSS security tools into CI/CD workflows.
- Enable automated change management from Dev to Production.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Build and operate highly available, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps practices.
- Work across GCP and AWS, with Azure exposure stated as a must have.
- Integrate applications into public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Implement configuration management to standardize environments.
Containers & Platforms
- Design and manage containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support Kubernetes environments, including GKE, Helm, and kubectl.
- Act as a technical expert on containerization and cloud-native architectures.
Security, Monitoring & Reliability
- Embed DevSecOps quality gates, SLOs, and compliance controls.
- Integrate monitoring and observability using Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, and Splunk.
- Enable self-healing and automated remediation mechanisms.
- Partner with Cloud Infrastructure and Security teams to enforce standards.
Collaboration & Ownership
- Work with cross-functional agile teams to improve developer productivity.
- Translate non-functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
- Own the technical design and implementation of DevSecOps platforms.
- Create documentation, standards, and reusable automation frameworks.
Requirements
Core Experience
- 6+ years of experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Bamboo.
- Experience with source control tools including GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.
- Experience with IaC and automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Groovy, and shell scripting.
- Experience with containers and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory and SonarQube.
- Solid Linux experience, including Ubuntu, RHEL, and Debian.
Cloud & Security
- Hands-on experience with GCP and/or AWS.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps security tools in pipelines.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, and HTTP.
- Experience with high-availability and distributed systems.
Programming & Ways of Working
- Scripting or programming experience with Python, Bash, and basic Java.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications & Certifications
- BE, BTech, MCA, or equivalent practical experience.
- Public Cloud certification in GCP, AWS, or Azure is mandatory.
Nice to have
- GKE experience is preferred.
- Azure experience is listed as a plus in the skills section.
- Exposure to GitOps, Flux CD, GitHub Security, and Copilot is a plus.
- CNCF certifications such as CKA or CKAD are good to have.
